Here is a fun and hands-on spin for introducing graphing using manipulatives. All you will need is counting bears (or any other colored manipulative), die, paper, and markers. - We grab our colored markers that match the colors of the manipulatives. - Draw a circle with each color. - Roll the dice, move the amount showing on the dice of colored manipulatives above the colored circle. - Repeat until all colors have been graphed. *(optional)* Discuss which color has more and/or less manipulatives.
