The BeltLine just unveiled a $3.5B light-rail draft: a 22-mile loop plus crosstown links, ~10-min trains, and 4 new MARTA infill stations to tie heavy and light rail together. Georgia is taking a serious look at passenger rail between Atlanta and Savannah — and for the first time in decades, the project is moving forward in a real way. GDOT has launched a $10 million federally backed study to create what’s called a Service Development Plan.
